Many of the details of our class reunion have been worked out, and the event is just around the corner (LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!) The site has been busy, with multiple visits and 130 members; sharing numerous photos updating us on what's happening in their lives.

Below is the information about the different events we have in the works. If you are planning on attending one or more of these, please let us know so we can plan accordingly. We have received quite a few RSVPs so far, and you won’t want to miss out on all the fun!

The schedule includes the main event on Friday night, June 19th. We will be getting together at Ash Leah Manor near Timberton Golf Course on Veterans Memorial Drive from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. This will include a cocktail hour, food, and all sorts of fun stuff. Dress code, which would best be described as business casual.

On Saturday, June 20th, we will be getting together for the class/family picnic. (Location TBA)

Saturday night will be "Social" night, also including a cocktail hour, food, and loads of fun.

We have put together a system that allows you to pay for reunion events through the Web site and PayPal. You can select the package you wish to purchase, and then check out using PayPal’s secure online payment system. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can just use a credit card.

YOU'RE COOL ENOUGH

From what I've been told, there are quite a few people who aren't planning on coming to our reunion because they're not skinny enough, not successful enough, or just plain not cool enough. I just want to go on record encouraging people to take a step back and think about whether or not that’s a good enough reason to miss an event that comes around once a decade.

Here’s the deal. I’ve gained somewhere around 40 lbs. since high school. I don’t have anything saved for retirement, and I’m not exactly running the world in the 40+ hours a week I call work. You were cooler than me in high school, and you’re still cooler than me now. I promise.

Hopefully, nobody is coming to the reunion to gloat about how they are successful, trim, and rich, and I’m not. If they are, then they are a TOOL (If you're confused, watch VH1) and I’ll probably do my best to avoid having to talk to them. And so should you.

If you decide not to come, that’s your business. I’m sure plenty of people have a nice list of good reasons that they can’t make it. I just know that “not being cool enough” shouldn’t be on that list.
